and Daughters

Fathers

and Sons

halt

look into the eyes

of those dearest to you

Mother or Father

Sister or Brother

Family or Friend

be it linked by blood

or linked by life

thank God for their sacrifices

Their love

Their existence

for all of us our bound

by the same human tissue

the same human conditions

the same human life

we have been given

And none of us could have done it alone

Today,

Mothers

are acknowledged and held dear

Women

who have born us

who have raised us

who's bodies have

carried us into this precious universe

one by one

to share in the milk of the Earth

And to Mother's

We say "Thank you"

But,

let us not stop there

Mothers need fathers

and daughters and sons

family and friends

too

So

Today, and everyday,

let us be grateful

for all the people

who we hold dear

and walk along side us

to become beacons for others

and part of the fabric of humanity
