Sacred and never-ending, energy weaves in, around, through, and within all things. It is not bound by the laws of time or space and knows no limit. It is never destroyed, but rather recreated and redefined. A master shape-shifter, its form is forever changing.

God is energy. God is our life force. God weaves in, around, through, and within all things. We are all connected through this eternal source; light and love. It pulses through our veins. We are created and recreated, made up of stardust and past realities. We are not of our own being, but are an expression of the cosmic energy that envelopes all creation. Even in death, our energy never ceases.

Think about it. How freeing and comforting! YOU are a magnificent creation.

We have the power to heal, transform, and change the world through our interactions with it. Every moment counts, and every moment energy is flowing through, around, and within us. Our energy matters. Your energy matters. You matter.

How are you fostering and sharing your energy with the world?

What brings you joy?

How do you feel God moving in and through your life?

What feels effortless, as if it is flowing out from something deep within you?

How can your energy feed light, love, and hope to our world?

Man, life is scary. Most days I am uncertain about what to do next or if I am living the life I want to be living. Who and what matters most to me? How do I want to be remembered in this moment? What does holistic health mean for me in this season of my life? Honestly, most of the time I am stumbling around in the dark trying to do the right thing and follow what little light I can see. My life feels like a constant improv show as everyone around me tries to play their part, and sometimes it is a shit show. Pardon my language. Questions that arise for me in the midst of navigating daily life include: What is the right thing? What are my priorities? Who’s rules am I living by? Am I being true to my self and my needs and honest with the people around me? Sometimes the answers are clear, but often they are more nuanced and difficult to find. A majority of life is lived in grey spaces. Like with holistic health, each of us will have different experiences and answers to these questions. We may not even be asking the same questions or starting from the same assumptions. For some people a few beers on a Friday night is okay, but for some the same beers are a sign of deep wounds and a struggle with addiction. For some eating bread is a key part of their life while for others who struggle with gluten intolerance it is a constant struggle to avoid foods that cause harm to their bodies. And these are only two small examples. Life is difficult and it is not always easy to know what to do. If I can offer anything from this post, it is hope that we are all part of something so much grander than we can comprehend. We are all struggling in our own ways with our own things. None of us have it all figured out, but we are all trying our best.

Reach out to people around you today for support, and seek strength together. If you are struggling know that you are not alone. You are valuable just because you are. No matter what, you are never really alone. Keep trying. I see the light within you.

People always ask what brings me joy. It can be a difficult question to answer at times. It is so easy for me to forget about taking time to have fun in the midst of responsibilities and deadlines, but it is such an essential part of staying healthy! What are your little joys? Do one thing that brings you joy this week!

Here are some of my little joys:

Swing Dancing!

Two Stepping!

Reading a good book

Writing

Sitting on my porch with a cup of tea

Playing with my cats

Taking a walk on a beautiful day

Going to the movies

Creating something :)

Going to Half Price Books

Sometimes all you need is 5 minutes of joy to change the entire day. Just do it.
